Research the preparation method of ceramic glass bond for diamond grinding wheel

Abstract The preparation of glass ceramic bond for diamond grinding wheel was studied in the paper. By testing the nucleation temperature of glass ceramic, choosing the nucleation materials, testing the effects of micro- crystallization on the properties of glass ceramic, the results showed that by the climax temperature in DSC curve of glass ceramic bond in different nucleation temperature, the optimum nucleation temperature of glass ceramic can be found; as nucleation material, TiO2 can facilitate the separation of β-quartz from glass, the bonding strength between diamond grains and vitrified bond by using glass ceramic bond can be improved twice than basic glass bond.
